In industrial production, air compressors are considered “energy-consuming giants”, and the performance of their motors directly determines the operating costs, efficiency and reliability. The essence of equipping air compressors with permanent magnet synchronous motors is to solve the problems of “high loss, low efficiency and large volume” of traditional asynchronous motors in air compressor applications through the unique technical structure of the motor. The adoption of permanent magnet synchronous motors in air compressors is a comprehensive optimization to achieve “cost reduction, efficiency improvement, space saving and maintenance reduction” through technological upgrades. Especially under the current trend in the industrial field of pursuing green energy conservation and precise production, it has become the mainstream upgrade direction for air compressor motors.
From the perspective of energy conservation and consumption reduction, traditional asynchronous motors need to consume electricity to generate excitation magnetic fields, and their rated efficiency is usually between 85% and 92%, especially when the load is low, the efficiency drops sharply. However, in the actual operation of air compressors, the load is often in a changing state, resulting in severe energy waste. The rated efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors can reach 94% to 97%, and even when operating under low load conditions, the efficiency can still remain at a relatively high level. When combined with frequency conversion technology, the energy-saving rate in variable load scenarios is 10% to 20% higher than that of traditional models. Long-term use can significantly reduce cost.
